Aave Folio — Privacy Policy

Aave Folio is an independent, read-only browser extension for viewing Aave V3 lending positions. It is not affiliated with Aave Labs, Avara or the Aave DAO. This policy explains exactly what the extension does and does not do with your data. In short: it collects nothing about you and has no servers of its own.

Single purpose

Aave Folio lets you view the Aave V3 portfolio of any public wallet address you choose to add — net worth, supplies, borrows, health factors, e-mode and unclaimed rewards across Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism and Polygon. It is strictly read-only: it cannot connect a wallet, hold keys, sign messages or move funds.

Data we collect

None. Aave Folio has no backend, no account system, no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, no cookies and no tracking of any kind. We do not collect, store or transmit any personally identifiable information, browsing history, or usage statistics.

Data stored on your device

The following is saved only in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) and never leaves your device except as described under "Network requests" below:

• The wallet addresses / ENS names and labels you add.
• A cached copy of the last portfolio snapshot (so the popup opens instantly).
• Your preferences (theme, sort order, whether you dismissed the first-run notice).

You can erase all of it at any time by removing your accounts in the extension or by removing the extension.

Network requests

To read on-chain data, the extension sends standard read-only JSON-RPC calls (eth_call) to public blockchain RPC endpoints and fetches token logo images from public CDNs. As part of these requests, a wallet address you have added is included so the relevant balances can be read — this is inherent to reading public blockchain data and is the same information already public on any block explorer. These requests go directly from your browser to those third- party providers; Aave Folio operates no server that sees them.

Third-party endpoints contacted (read-only):

• Public RPC providers: publicnode.com, llamarpc.com, ankr.com, arbitrum.io, base.org, optimism.io, polygon-rpc.com.
• Token logo CDNs: smold.app, trustwallet assets on GitHub.

Please refer to those providers' own privacy policies for how they handle network requests. No addresses, keys or personal data are ever sent anywhere else.

Permissions

• storage — to save your accounts, cache and preferences locally (above).
• clipboardWrite — to let you copy a wallet address to your clipboard when you click the copy button.
• host permissions (the RPC hosts listed above) — to make the read-only blockchain calls. No other sites are accessed.

Data sharing and sale

We do not sell, rent, share or disclose any data, because we do not collect any.

Children

Aave Folio is a general-purpose financial-information tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will accompany the extension release and the "last updated" date above will change.
